DCP Spring 2012!

Sucks.
It’s a lot of no eating at work and then coming home and stuffing your face.
And there are so many places to eat at, you spend all your paycheck on the $30 Disney restaurants. Or the 9$ Quick service meals that aren’t very filling.

I don’t regret anything!
But food here is expensive. 80% of my paycheck goes to food. And honestly i don’t even eat a meal every day. But no weight loss… because when i DO eat, it’s a lot, and it’s all junk.

Rocket Launch!

Yesterday was an amazing day and totally unexpected.

Work was work of course. I pulled rotation and was stuck at TSI for a good 5 hours. Not that i’m really complaining, but GEE it was HOT out! I got fried! Not much happened there other than a lot of spanish people saying “no entiendo.” SO many spanish people didn’t know what Tom Sawyer Island was. They couldn’t understand us when we tried to explain, so logically they wanted to hop on our rafts anyways. Had a family kept trying to climb on the engine compartment and “no entiendo’d” me telling them to get down. A guy asked me if kids were allowed on the island. L O L.
For the first time in way too long, i got my lunch while the caff was still open! HOORAY!
So obviously i walked all the way to “the mouse” and got a pizza and coke. Super good :)
I only had 2 hours left after lunch at bears. closing at 9 after closing at 2am the night before = “WHOAH THIS IS EARLY”
More spanish people not understanding. A boy didn’t have shoes and we were at max capacity of wheelchairs. This old lady was sassy and spanish, and some random guy just stood there and watched me struggle with her, and then tried to laugh with me about it afterwards. Not happy.
BUT of course, there were also a lot of sweet people and cute kids.

Right before we closed, Jill tells me her and Amanda are going to Cape Canaveral after work to watch the rocket launch at 3:30am. I didn’t even know it was happening! So, i had to think about it during a bear show, and decided i definitely couldn’t pass this up.
Best. decision. ever.
Yes, i had a total of 3.5 hours of sleep and am currently trying to keep myself awake before work, but SO WORTH IT.
We had the best time on our “road trip”! Lots of “provisions” and running away from Alligators. so much fun.
We got there around Midnight and just did random things to keep ourselves awake. By about 2:30am more people started showing up at our viewing point. We socialized a bit and one guy told us it was postponed another hour. We almost left… but thankfully we learned that it was definitely on schedule.

IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL.

I just. Can’t. even describe.

We didn’t even listen to music on the way back because we were just so inspired and talking about how amazing that was.
Crashed at Amanda’s place around 5am. I got to hold her cute little pet mice and i definitely want to steal them AHHH so cute!! :D
She had to work at 10:45 so, here i am blogging so i don’t fall back asleep before work at 3.

:)
I’m so so glad i got to experience that!!
